Your journey
The Mulberry is easily accessible from both the Greek capital Athens and Kalamata Airport.
Route from Kalamata
The journey to The Mulberry is easily accessible via Kalamata airport. It is served by flights from many European airports between May and October. International and local car hire companies offer hire cars at Kalamata airport. The journey to the house takes a good hour. The road leads past Kalamata and winds its way to Verga in the Taygethos Mountains. Shortly after Stavropigio, you reach the highest point - and are rewarded with a fantastic view of the plain and the Mediterranean Sea before descending the winding road back down to Kardamily. Be sure to stop for a first photo stop.
Route from Athens
Athens is a good alternative for travelling to the city. Thanks to the newly extended motorway to Kalamata, the Greek capital and its airport are only 3.5 hours away from The Mulberry. During the journey, there are fantastic views of the coast and the green mountains of the Peloponnese.
Along the way, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and favourite places invite you to stop and explore the Peloponnese. A first Greek coffee at the entrance gate to the Corinth Canal. The world-famous Lion Gate of Mycenae. The Byzantine churches of the Crusaders of Mystra. The enchanting harbour town of Nafplio, where the Bavarian Prince Otto once came ashore as Otto I of Greece. The archaeological sites of Messene. You can immerse yourself in a very special holiday as soon as you arrive.
